Rose Murray Brown MW’s Moldovan Native Grapes-virtual wine tasting with guest host Dr Caroline Gilby MW, Friday 11th June 6.30 pm
We at Moldovan Wine UK are so excited to announce the online interactive tasting session hosted by Rose Murray Brown MW with guest host Dr Caroline Gilby MW, the UK’s leading Eastern European Wine Expert. The event offers the tasting of Moldovan native grapes of 4 different wines. Rose and Caroline will guide you through the tasting of a selection of wines from Moldovan Wineries with images illustrating the winemakers, wineries, beautiful vineyards and regions from across the Country.

Grown in Purcari Region, the most popular Moldovan wine-producing region that has become a legend since the 19th Century, when the wines of high quality have been already being produced there.
Alb de Onitcani from Novak Winery
100% Alb de Onitcani is an indigenous Moldovan grape variety. Created at Moldovan Agricultural Institute “M.V. Frunze”. This is quite a rare grape variety and Novak Winery is one of few wineries that uses it winemaking. IGP Valul Lui Traian.
‘Negre ‘ Wine from Fautor Winery
A signature wine that combines the temperament and finesse of two local grape varieties Feteasca Neagra & Rara Neagra. This wine reflects the true Moldovan wine tradition made of ancestral grapes. The embodiment of elegance. IGP Valul Lui Traian.
‘Individo’ Wine from Chateau Vartely Winery
Outstanding character of Moldovan native grape Rara Neagra in blend with known varieties Malbec & Syrah, combined in a special way, allow wine individuality to go beyond due to mixing flavours and taste sensations. Grown and harvested in the South of Moldova, Bugeac Region. A wine with identity and personality.
